Few things suck as much as having to say “I can’t afford this.”

But it gets worse when you know that the response will be an offer for someone else to buy it who can’t afford it, either.  And when it’s something that you’d be a real poop for not affording.  And when all that happens when you’re hormonal and weepy, anyway?  Forget it.
