Wal-Mart Beauty Box September 2015

IMG_0709This box came out of the blue, and was one of the fullest I’ve gotten yet. I was super pleased with pretty much everything in the box, and I felt really happy about the $5 cost this month. While none of the brands were new at all to me–and even many of the products are ones I’ve seen on shelves–I was glad to try a few of these products. And there are a few things I’ll be buying!

Schick Hyrdo Silk Disposable razor – This razor is meant to be thrown away completely, which is disappointing. It’s a near duplicate of a razor I’ve used where the head is the only disposable portion, and this could’ve easily been designed to do the same thing. The handle is SO NICE! That feature alone makes this a Do Not Buy for me.

Aussie Mega Hold Hairspray (1.5 oz sample) – I’ve tried this before and it’s a great hairspray. Nice!

Simple Sensitive Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes (7 wipe sample) – These smell a tiny bit like aloe. They’re HUGE wipes, and they felt really nice on my face. They did a decent job removing my makeup, too. I don’t have sensitive skin at all, so I can speak to how gentle these are, but I’d recommend these as a buy for most faces.

Act Advanced Care Plaque Guard mouthwash (1 oz) – This has a really pleasant, soft mint flavour, which I prefer.

Neutrogena Healthy Volume mascara (sample) – This applicator brush it awesome! It’s a thick, fluffy, long brush. Very old school. It applies so nicely! It doesn’t clump at all and the bristles really separate the lashes. I will probably be buying this.

Dove Advanced Care Beauty Finish 48h (0.5 oz sample) – I have no idea what the scent of this is, but holy cripes is it SCENTED. I smelled this all day. Ughhhhh. Pass.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer (0.3 oz sample) – This has SPF 30 sunscreen in it, and the product itself looks and feels like sunscreen. It’s not greasy at all and made my face feel very velvety. I may actually buy this.

Biore Self Heating One Minute Mask (packet sample) – This is interesting. It comes out of the packet like a loose, grey polymer with black flecks of rock in it. It goes on feeling pretty darn warm and warms up every time you touch it. It left my skin feeling clean and tight. It has parabens, so it’s not something I’m going to buy.

I never got around to trying:

Nivea Extended Moisture 48hr Body Lotion (packet sample)

Crest 3D White Brilliance (packet sample)

Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer (packet sample)
